Here are more artifacts from the early days of Varian in the TWT business.  Wells Dodds, who hired Willis, dropped off the edge of the earth around 1958-59 and no one I knew had a clue what happened to him.  John Sullivan stayed with Varian for 15-20 years and then went to TMEC as VP.  He is now retired, but consults.  Last I heard, Jack Ruetz is still at Varian (Now CPI) and still involved with high power TWTs.   Willis died a couple of years ago.   These pictures were printed in a number of journals as advertising around this time.--- Rene M.
